CULTURES meeting is an initiative of the association Slow Food Lleida to safeguard agricultural biodiversity and food culture of the West born she 2008.Amb, work to keep alive the old varieties and breeds with a methodology that combines research, conservation and the promotion and dissemination of this heritage

More than 10.000 years, began to domesticate plants and animals. Since that time, the people have developed the cultivation and consumption of different species as one of the foundations of our culture. Traditional breeds and varieties are a testimony of this process, transmitted between generations peasant, selected and improved by each of them, to form a set of flavors tailored to each floor.
Cultures Found upholds the common heritage of our time, authentic heritage and unique properties, we defend from oblivion and patents, in favor of the food of the future.
Research and knowledge diversity
We work to find agricultural diversity through interviews Speaker, workshops and field trips. We are interested in seeds and trees, but also recipes, conserves, drinks and all related information.
Conservation of traditional varieties
